Summary: "Glad it's finally in Sacramento!"

I agree with a lot of the reviews here, and am excited to learn of places I haven't been. It organizes restaurants by "best view", "fireplace", etc (nice if you want a cozy Christmas eve dinner!) I have looked at this many times, and bought a copy for all of my co-workers for Christmas (at only 5.95, how can I go wrong?).

Summary: "Fantastic guide to Sacramento cuisine"

It's an honor to have Zagat in Sacramento and this small guide is not a disappointment. Because of the way in which Zagats are created (through a compilation of reviews) the guide is a very comprehensive and accurate look at the restaurant world in the Sacramento area. If you eat out regularly in Sacramento and are familiar with Zagat, you can guess most of the ratings for the different restaurants. There are a few surprises, but those just enhance the guide's readability. I actually found that I could just read straight through the guide and be entertained as well as informed. But of course I discovered a few restaurants that I am now itching to try. If you dine out regularly in Sacramento, or are curious about the restaurant scene in town, this book is an absolute must have.
